I have just installed a 7.0.10 kernel on (a backup of!) my live USB, but I cannot find how to select it and boot from it. I have installed new kernels on a BIOS system and they just appear in the GRUB menu, but on UEFI I cannot work out what to do!
[EDIT] I have just realised I need to run the updater 😉 I thought the idea was to boot into it to see if it was working properly first, but that was clearly a mistake.
You can delete this post if you want. Actually scratch that – I got it installed by replacing the “legacy” kernel that I never use so I could keep 6.139 . . . is that the right thing to do?

Either kernel is fine. Our 6.6.139 antiX kernel is our latest version.
The newest stable Linux kernel is 7.0.11 and the newest kernel still in testing is 7.1.rc6 from kernel.org last time I looked. You’re fine with what you have now.
