The title says it all. I’m trying to create a shortcut to connman to put on my desktop so that I don’t have to use Menu > Control Centre > Network > Wifi… (Connman) every time I want to use it. But it’s not in my /usr/share/applications folder. So where is it and how do I create a shortcut to my desktop?

Do you mean ‘connman’ or its GUI ‘cmst’?
I guess it’s the latter and that’s the reason you cannot find ‘connman.desktop’.
The desktop file for ‘cmst’ is in the usual place – ‘/usr/share/applications/’.If that solves your issue, please mark the topic as SOLVED by editing its 1st post’s title (prepending or appending ‘[SOLVED] ‘ to it)

Which WM are you using? If all you want is quick access to conman there could be other ways. I use IceWM and I have included the network icon in the system tray. If I need conman I just click on the icon.

it means you can just click on those rectangular bars (on the right side on toolbar) to launch the cmst tool..
You can customise and make it launch something else.. but it’s not required in your case..Take a look at https://ice-wm.org/man/icewm-preferences
(search for ‘command’ in the page)

Dragging the cmst icon to the desktop was what I needed do to. Many thanks to all who replied. I never found those rectangular bars in the toolbar.
