New antiX users are having trouble registering on the forum

When I cleaned out the spam, I left the registration entries in case there are any more having trouble registering. There was ONE who left a comment asking, who was blacklisted, and I left his comment as I didn’t recognize the name.

Deleted a spam casino bot yesterday.

Steps I take.

Mark thread as spam.
Next window unapprove.
Then I go the user name so I can copy it.
In the dashboard.>Search all users I get his name up.
I delete him and all his posted content.

Done. No messing other users, registration forms, or posted content from other users.

I don’t suppose this was me? I found my account no longer present in the forum (this was one of my posts, it now belongs to user Anonymous http://www.antixforum.com/forums/topic/package-installer-sunflower-file-manager-missing/#post-141273). I couldn’t use the “Contact us” link because my e-mail was rejected by https://cleantalk.org. I got my e-mail removed from their blacklist and then could use the “Contact Us” link, but twice I asked what happened to my account (and what could I do to not get deleted again) and both times got no reply.

So I’ve just registered again, and will ask here: why was my account deleted, and what can I do to prevent being deleted again?

Not sure what the problem was. Checked your username captain-stall and all looks fine.

When we had major bot attacks. I think then new people were not allowed on the forum
so registration may have been turned off. That is all I can think of .

Yes, that was yours. I went and looked and there was no user id matching the name given there. I’ve seen posts change to anonymous before, but only when the user has been deleted. I didn’t delete it, hadn’t noticed your posts, and wasn’t aware of anyone else deleting it. I noticed the note yesterday on the main page saying registration is disabled, which explained why you weren’t able to register. Given that I’m not sure if it is really off or on at the moment.

Sorry, too many late nights coding and I only vaguely recall installing, configuring and testing Sunflower. I certainly didn’t see anything on the Sunflower thread that would have upset anyone enough to delete you. Did you post to any other thread after that? Or maybe someone deleted your id by accident or a website bug?

At this point I wouldn’t worry about it as there isn’t any other trail of breadcrumbs left to follow. It looks like you are Ok, now, so welcome back.

If you want to join, use the Contact Us option at the bottom right of this page

When I was a moderator, I needed to remove spammer every day. I understand the admin’s decision. Use the “Contact Us” page to ask for a forum account.

For several months the forum has been closed for automatic individual registration.

@anticapitalista had planned to enable it prior to his holiday and will be returning on September 24.

I don’t know if anyone else can register users in the meantime.

Admins and moderators? Anyone certain about what it takes?

I haven’t been receiving email notifications when getting private messages, so I assume the email notification function is not working properly.

@marcelocripe, when I registered some time ago, I also didn’t get an activation email. But in the login form, I asked for a password reset and, after 3 tries, that worked (I got an email to reset my password and, after that, I could log in to the forum). Not sure if this still works.

In addition to the native English user, there is another native Portuguese user (in the image “Users-with-difficulties-to-register-3.png”) who also wants to register, but apparently no one is responding to the “Contact Us” message, which is very unfortunate because people are prevented from completing their registration.

Ideally, the moment someone fills out the “Contact Us” form and submits it, all moderators and administrators would be notified of this message. After evaluation by a moderator or administrator, a response would be sent to the email of whoever completed and submitted the form to proceed with their registration on the antiX forum.

Além do usuário nativo do idioma inglês, existe um outro (na imagem “Usuarios-com-dificuldades-para-fazer-o-cadastro-3.png”) nativo do idioma português que também quer fazer o cadastro, mas ao que aparece ninguém está respondendo a mensagem do “Contact Us”, o que é algo muito ruim, porque as pessoas ficam impedidas de concluírem o seu cadastro.

O ideal seria que no momento que alguém preenchesse o formulário do “Contact Us” e o enviasse, que todos os moderadores e administradores fossem notificados sobre esta mensagem. Após a avaliação de um moderador ou administrador, uma resposta seria enviada para o e-mail de quem preencheu e enviou o formulário para proseguir com o seu cadastro no fórum do antiX.

Sorry, I don’t know how to register anyone. It would be nicer if there was a workaround that could be given to the facebook group admins.
