No new antiX deb upgrades for 2 weeks

As the title says, since I’m on holiday and away from my trusty antiX build computer until 24 September.

Users of sid will need to be even more careful than usual when upgrading.

Later today, or tomorrow, I’ll allow new user registrations so if we get lots of spam there is not much we can do about it until our team can delete it.

I’d be willing to step in and amplify the mod team for these two weeks for spam control, if you like. Unfortunately I’ll not have the time to do that on the longer run, at least not for the moment. So you can remove me after you being back again from the mod list.

Well, it’s two days later and the place hasn’t melted, so you can continue to enjoy the holiday and get the break you deserve.

Hello fellow penguin friends. What is the future of 32-bit architecture in antiX?

Even though few distros still support it, internet browsers have already stopped supporting it.

I haven’t had 32-bit computers for a long time, but I’m concerned about fellow penguin friends who still have them.

We’re still able to build this architecture; not sure if we will be able to build it after our NEXT release (it’ll be either antiX 25 or 26; right now the Alpha stage of the next release is considered antiX 25 Alpha). We will have a 32-bit version; it may be one of our last, possibly THE last, but we hope to support it as long as we can.

Also, antiX 23.2, the current release that’s out to the “public” DOES have 32-bit support, and that support remains active, so 32-bit is not done yet.
