For me, Ungoogled Chromium is working with all init alternatives today.
I also have each of the init alternatives working almost perfectly. I have a couple of configuration questions, since I like to tweak things, so I’m going to ask on the RC1 topic; other than that, all is very well.

I met this issue once again yesterday (on Vivobook this time) while booting from one init program to another and I decided to test if I could execute the Appimage after deleting every single file. Well, I deleted first the SingletonLock file and that was enough. No need to delete the other two files.
For me, Ungoogled Chromium is working with all init alternatives today.

Glad it’s working out, at least on some systems. Just about all of the issues are coming together.
I still want to get the date/time to configure correctly; one or two of my systems seem to use the UTC as the base time, even if they display the correct time in my timezone; other systems are configured directly in local time. While a lot of Linux setups prefer the clock ticks to be based on UTC, that’s currently FIVE hours different than my timezone, and also my timezone oscillates between Standard Time and Daylight Savings Time so that is why I prefer to keep it at my local time setting so it can change automatically as the seasonal time changes. That’s the only thing that one or two of the init alternatives don’t get perfectly, but bit by bit I’m getting them right; the classics already have it; I got 66 to get time 100% right yesterday. Today dinit came up with the correct time, but that’s partly because the previous system I booted already had the clock time setup I prefer, so dinit “inherited” the time in the format and range desired. While the set_time-and_date.sh tool can fix this, I’d prefer not to have to set it every single time I boot, so that’s the lone remaining matter to clear up 100% in dinit. I have a question in with @ProwlerGr; haven’t gone through all my mail yet, so he may have already answered me on this.Anyway it has been a good week for these matters; one by one they are getting corrected.

I nearly forgot to mention: Google Chrome and Chromium came up with an update; I *think* that the number is 159 but I could be wrong. Depending on how fast they are it could be tonight or tomorrow, if not, soon that we see another Ungoogled Chromium build!

Haven’t seen the update arrive yet, but there is a decent chance it’ll arrive today or tomorrow. Both Google Chrome and Chromium already have Version 146.0.7680.71-1.
