As the weather is nicer I’m outside more with my camera too.

Yeah, the weather is really nice here in the “upstate” region of South Carolina. Yesterday was cloudy and mild, but today has sun and clouds with a temperature right around 80 degrees. It’s supposed to get really HOT – nearly 100 degrees – by the weekend. I call that “indoor winter” – the REVERSE of the North -stay IN when it gets too warm! Beautiful now, and your picture, once again, looks very nice on my laptop; I’m gonna view it on my Pixel 3 phone to compare; most of ’em look very good on either media, so that is a credit to your work, as always!

Thanks Brian,

I do view the world through a different lens in a lot of ways. Here are 2 that I did
today, 1 is a 180 degree flip of the other. Was playing in GIMP doing “touch of color”
editing as everyone calls it with photos and going to write a tutorial post later for those
do photography and graphics arts to know how to do this in GIMP instead of Photoshop.

note the color is gone from the rest of the wood.

Also one of doing this kind of edit in nature photos.

can these edit ones be put in a new thread as photo editing as will
quickly get off topic?

These are indeed a “different view”, using GIMP. I look forward to your tutorial. The few times I’ve edited photographs I got by, but it’s a lot easier to go to a photo kiosk or even hire someone to do it (at least for me). You, on the other hand, demonstrate a great deal of expertise in every way. I’m sure that you started somewhere too, just as we all do, but in this area, you are far past anything I’ve ever accomplished. As always, this is yet another example of your “good eye” and craftsmanship; thanks for both the work and the explanation.
