Oniux build currently fails both on antiX-23.2 and antiX-25, due to new structure, even the versions that once build aren’t building
but this guy set a github to build the binaries once an update comes out
consider including the oniux binary on antiX-25 I tested it and it works has the build one

Still, no conclusion. When reboot, sometimes I’m online (but usually with a deadly weak connection), other times not. When I open connman system tray, every connection disappears and the list of networks is empty. I see no difference if resolvconf is purged or not.

Belated thanks for this. Just to point out that “init=runit” is needed if you run frugal with persistence and the previous time you booted another kernel.

The screenshot script Robin worked on is called antixscreenshot2 and it’s not in the beta.

In the meantime the scrot program is included and will take one if you run it, no options needed.

Indeed, version 1.12.1 is already installed. It’s a command line (not gui) utility. “scrot -h” gives a list of options. BTW, could anybody delete the wrong version of this dublicated option?

-u, --focused                   capture the currently focused window
-u, --focussed                  capture the currently focused window

For a gui application, I installed without problem screenshot-antix.

I had tested antixscreenshot2 and I liked it (there were some issues, but it was probably because I was running antiX-Base). For its installation, the helper tool laufweite is needed, but regarding the antiXscreenshot2 version 1.09 (said to be “ready for antiX 25”), links to laufweite seem to be wrong (edit: see below posts 190543 & 190551).

Now it seems to me that the “acpi=off” option has not to do with disabling acpi-support. Although I disabled the acpi-support during the (non-frugal) installation, the (non-frugal) installed system shuts down properly.

This is the case for Toshiba Satellite A300, but, unfortunately, it’s even worse for Asus VivoBook X540MA. I get offline and the list of networks disappears many times during the same session and I always have not just to pass by Ceni, but also to reconfigure wlan0 (that, before removing resolvconf; after removing it, things seem to be better, but no time for more tests now).

What is wrong with the laufweite download links? For me they still do work, checksums match after downloading from the given links. Please note, you have to select either the 32 or 64 bit laufweite version, depending on your hardware, while the antiXscreenshot2 package itself is for both architectures. No need for downloading or installing gdrive any longer with this version.

Will check out asap, finally made it to download and write the antiX25beta1 now to an USB stick. antixscreenshot2 had been successfully tested here last on the first alpha of antiX 25.

Hello.
Sorry, in poor english.

In GRUB Menu at booting, when set save option to gfxsave(other options are all default except with toram).
IceWM is missinng Applications menu entries.
Applications menu shows noting.
Olso Run, Settings and Logout,Thire menu icons are not showed.

And App Select shows error massege only at first excute.
(please see Screenshot_2.png)

These happn only IcewM. Fluxbox and JWM are no problrem.

Only in iceWM, menu-applications has wrong link.

Maybe it’s something wrong not with the laufweite download links, but with my ungoogled chromium setup. Pale Moon downloads the files without problem.

EDIT: Finally, ungoogled chromium downloaded laufweite-x64.deb, too. Maybe it helped that I disabled uBlock, but I can’t say it for sure.
EDIT2: It doesn’t have to do with uBlock. I keep it disabled, but still Chromium blocks the download:

Chromium blocked this download because the site isn't using a secure connection and the file may have been tampered with

I choose “Download Insecure File” and that’s it.

Looks like gftp-gtk has been removed from (Debian) Trixie repos.

Maybe the idea to include Filezilla in its place should be considered for antiX…
