As I mentioned a few weeks ago, we have two trips planned. The first one was a long weekend trip to Charleston, South Carolina. The next one, which starts tomorrow, is a much longer trip to the Boston area. I’ll be back here next Monday.

@anticapitalX – so nice to see you back.

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

Likewise from me. I also see that you have another update to the work you were doing.
I’ll try to give it a try soon.

                  Welcome back!

                    thank you both .
hard days these days , this too shall pass .

@masinick I haven’t published this superminimal converter script YET .

antiX full2base v1.8 generates antiX-base as 1.5 Gb in size , and some users still have Alsa issues yet .

this superminimal I am working on it generates antiX-base 700Mb in size, and I am going to add options to choose preferred init and Wm .

playing with this scripts makes my mind busy .
and a busy mind is always a good thing.

I’ll keep my eyes out for the superminimal instance and give that one a try from my live image. I can implement it on any system as long as WiFi remains included in the superminimal instance. My only limitation is that I have no Ethernet access at all where I live, and I’ve not been able to find Ethernet in any nearby kiosks either, so WiFi access is a must for me.

I got to work with several of my distributions. @anticapitalista has kindly packaged a nosystemd version of GNU Emacs and it will be in the repository soon. I’m thankful for this. I recently discovered that it brings in libelogin dependency so it’s being fixed!

I haven’t published this superminimal converter script YET .

antiX full2base v1.8 generates antiX-base as 1.5 Gb in size , and some users still have Alsa issues yet .

this superminimal I am working on it generates antiX-base 700Mb in size, and I am going to add options to choose preferred init and Wm .

playing with this scripts makes my mind busy .
and a busy mind is always a good thing.

Should I wait for the revamped superminimal script or is it worth also testing antiX full2base v1.8 at this point?

I decided to replace antiX 23.2 Full Runit with Slackware CURRENT for a while; I still have the Live USB for antiX 23.2 Full Runit so I can bring it back or just run it live from time to time.

I’m using dd right now to create the Slackware CURRENT live image.

I will publish the superminimal antiX-base generator script , But I’m not sure If we can call it antiX-base anymore .
So yes , antiX full2base v1.8 is what officially published and is safe to use .
the Superminimal script will be highly experimental .

Let's accept antiX as it is
Pure and Elegant by its nature
