Hi cihan1321,
I use antiX because (a) it meets my needs, (b) I enjoy the forum, (3) the (small) development/maintainer “staff” has been responsive to bugs that can be fixed and it has been easy both to use live, to install and to use when installed.
A bonus for me personally is that it promotes a UNIX principle that I like. Namely, a single task for a single tool. I agree with many others on this forum that this warrants the efforts that the developers put into keeping systemd off the required list, because I feel it violates that principle.
Note that systemd CAN be installed on antiX, if the user wishes to do so.
Have a nice time with CachyOS…

On Discord posts praising another OS are removed and the Poster Banned from both discord and the Forum.
I am disgusted at the blatant way antiX forum is being misused to push catchy.
I definitely will not take that bait.

Greetings, I agree with everything you wrote about Antix. As I said before, I used Antix for two years and was very satisfied. Yes, the Antix forum is very helpful and attentive, and unlike other forums, the administrators haven’t set strict rules; they respond quickly, and they didn’t ban me or delete the topic for opening a thread about another Linux distribution. I thank them very much for this and have great respect for them. I might even switch back to Antix just because of this. Greetings, I understand you very well. But I’m not part of the Cachyos team, or even a fan. I’m not even on their forums, and the lack of a section for other distributions isn’t my concern. They set their own rules, and what they’re doing is wrong, just like the antiX forum. They should allow introductions, experiences, comments, and comparisons of other distributions. Banning posts, articles, and topics is very wrong in my opinion. I like everything good, and since Cachyos is the most downloaded and used distribution, I installed and used it without any problems or errors, and it’s quite fast and stable. I’m not misusing the antiX forum, my friend. I’m a user like you, and I have no connection with them. I think you’re an antiX fan, and I respect that. There’s nothing to be disgusted about, and this isn’t a trap. I didn’t tell you to switch to Cachyos or force you. Yes, I’m a technology influencer because I have a YouTube channel. The fact that the 3 threads I started are about Cachyos isn’t to defend it, but because it’s the most widely used, up-to-date, fast, seamless, and easy, and it coincided with the time I was a new member of this forum. I made and published the antiX Linux video much earlier. Here’s the proof. I’m writing the link; look at the dates and see how much I praised and liked antiX.
There’s absolutely no misuse of the antiX forum. No conditioning of forum moderators against me. If I were doing that, I would start by criticizing antiX and saying Cachyos is better, switch to that. I don’t take sides like you. I mention the good aspects of whichever is good, not just Cachyos, or even just Linux distributions; I praise and explain the good aspects of anything in any field, and I prove it in the video. I don’t just say it with words. Here’s the link to my video about antiX, watch it. Also, pay attention to the date; it’s long before Cachyos’ videos!!! I’m not trying to influence or spam anyone. I’m not forcing anyone. Whoever wants to use it can. What you’re doing isn’t right; I don’t do what you’re describing, and I’m definitely not that kind of person. I understand, grammatically, why you did it, but I also understand why @anticapitalista did it OPPOSITE of common convention:
1) There are other groups or organizations that use forms of AntiX or AntiX and he didn’t want any conflict with any of them.
2) We are polar opposite of most distributions so we want to be different in many ways.He’s explained this many times. I’ll forgive you as long as you do your very best not to continually repeat this; you’ll notice that it’s only relative newcomers that get this wrong, all veteran users already know the preferences of our distribution.

While Cachy OS has certainly received a lot of notice, you’re right, @Xunzi_23, a LOT of that comes from DistroWatch. I haven’t seen much evidence that it’s anything other than an attention-getter on DistroWatch.
Moreover, in my own experience, if you want to follow a SOLID version of Arch Linux, I’m personally much more inclined to use Endeavour OS than I am Cachy OS. While I had a nice initial impression of Cachy OS, it didn’t last much longer than my attempts to try out Manjaro Linux, though I’d say that Cachy OS is more worthy than Manjaro Linux, but if you are looking for solid reliability I would go very conservative with Cachy OS because I had no difficulties breaking it badly, not once but twice, and in the case of Manjaro, it’s done FAR worse, it more or less forced me into revamping and reinstalling one of my configurations one time that I tried it, and the next time I tried it I couldn’t even keep it running, so for me, the only “trustworthy” implementation of Arch Linux that I’ve had consistent success with is Endeavour OS. It’s like all of the Arch varieties, if you want to use it, you’re going to get systemd unless you personally re-engineer it otherwise.
So I say claims of reliability and stability are limited to using the most conservative implementation of Cachy OS you can find and then the cutting edge stuff is not there; seems to limit that appeal – and certainly that claim of reliability; the only Arch-based distribution that has appealed to me over a long period of time is Endeavour OS.
You see, I can (and have) beat many systems into the ground. That’s what I’ve done as a tester for decades; most of these would-be leaders don’t hold up very well.
As far as the mention of Linux Mint, I’d say they are more likely a popularity leader than Cachy OS too. They’ve introduced multiple desktop variations (Mate and Cinnamon as DE variations of GNOME) and LMDE – Linux Mint Debian Edition as a variation of their typical configuration. They’re not my favorites; that stuff is solid but full of overhead. I can run a functionally equivalent system that doesn’t use their graphics or precise configuration and shave between 100-150 MB off the size and the feel of my own custom efforts are quite a bit more nimble, so while I don’t object to others using them, they are not my preference either.
What we have in antiX hits right in the center of what I look for and because it has the tools I want, prefer and use, it’s considerably easier and faster for me to fine tune any antiX version than it is to fine tune any of the aforementioned systems which is a key reason that I’m such a huge antiX proponent.
